There are also new tools for creating picture-in-picture compositions, warping footage with colour aberration, and generating duotone or tritone separation effects. The update adds five new tools, including two geared to creating content for social media: Typographic creates text animations, while Socialize previews footage in common social media aspect ratios. In addition, the existing HUD Components tool, which – unsurprisingly – generates components for fantasy Heads Up Displays, gets 35 new presets. The update adds three new tools: Array Gun, a versatile-looking system for “generating animated motion graphics based on grids, shapes and lines”, plus tools for creating animated numbers and progress bars. Users of After Effects and Premiere Pro get a new dockable dashboard making it possible to access all of the Universe tools from a single place in the UI.
